Sampling has been a key part of music for many decades, particularly within the Hip Hop genre, and there’s no doubt one of your favourite songs includes a sample from another.
Typically done with a sampler such as an MPC, or digitally using your favourite DAW accompanied by a MIDI controller such as the popular MPK Mini. The definition of sampling involves taking a portion, or “sample” of a song or recording, and reusing it as an element of a new recording.
